WILD BELIZE
Reefs, Ruins and Rainforests
Belize and Guatemala offer some of the best ecotourism possibilities in Central America. Belize is blessed with abundant wildlife, large areas of protected forest, ancient Mayan ruins and the second largest barrier reef in the world bathed by the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Despite Belize’s small size, it has remarkable geological diversity which in turn leads to an amazing diversity of habitats. This habitat diversity is what drives the richness of floral and faunal communities and viewing this abundance of life is the main objective of this trip. We will hike the rainforest, snorkel among the coral reefs and ply remote rivers and lakes in search of wildlife. We will also learn about Belize and Guatemala’s rich cultural history as we explore the spectacular Mayan ruins of Lamanai and Tikal. We will even float through a jungle-cloaked cave system. EcoQuest Travel is proud to invite you to journey with us to explore the reefs, ruins and rainforests of Belize and Guatemala.
